I have a 1996 850 T5 w/70K miles. When the car sits for several hours, it takes about 8-10 seconds of cranking before it starts. Engines spins fine so I am assuming the battery if OK. Also, sometimes it will stall when I roll to a stop within the first two minutes of operation. The car will start right back up and is fine. Otherwise runs perfectly. No codes to be pulled either. I recently replaced the plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter and thermostat.
Another weird thing is that for the first 2 minutes of operation I get a groaning noise from the engine that goes up and down with the rpms. It's not a drivetrain issue becuase it will do it in park. I run 5/30 Mobil 1 synthetic so I don't believe my oil is too heavy at all.
What can I check? I just bought a house so I'm trying to avoid the dealer.
Thanks for your input.
