S80s have no FPR S80

I tried to start it again today, after leveling out the car a little. Still did not start. When I turn to key to position 2 I think I heard pump sounds from the right rear of the vehicle. It only mades the sound for two to three second, than the sound stop. Shouldn't the pump continue running as long as the key is on, since the fuel that is not used by the engine returns to the tank. I guess I'll need to get a fuel pressure gauge to see what the pressure is.
