After reading the resoldering idea before here, I've since disassembled a failed ABS ECU to check just how feasable this might be. The unit is not made to be taken apart, it's glued so it must be cut opened with a saw to seperate it. Once opened, there's a 1/8"-1/4" layer of a gel type coating over its circuit board so although probably not totally impossible, I wouldn't consider repairing one of these an easy job for an amateur, like one who dables in trying to resolder other, much simpler relays. The unit isn't made to be repaired IMHO.
