Self Leveling Rear Shocks

Strange. Usually, Nivomats are only used on wagons. Normal shocks are NOT self-leveling, they just keep the car from bouncing up and down.

Nivomats were optional for those that thought they would tow or carry heavy loads. There is no substitute. They can be checked by loading something heavy in the trunk. Measure the top of the wheel well to the ground. load the trunk. Then push the rear of the car up and down several times. The car should then rest at the original height before weight was added.
