Sunroof will not fully close V70-XC70 2001

I have a sunroof that was leaking a little bit so I opened it all the way to try to close it more securely. I try to close it but it now stops moving about 2 inches from a full close. I jiggle the switch and maybe get another inch closer to a full close. I have tried helping it close with my hand but it just won't go any further. It will open all the way again but still it always stops at the same spot. Inow have a 1 inch gap that will really leak into the car now.
Any suggestions on just getting it closed? I really don't care if it every really works again.
