Re: The link doesn't work. Let's try... S60 2001

It's a neat essay?? Are you kidding?? These two need a clue about this particular car. I can understand them whining about the inclusion of a power moon roof as a standard item maybe but complaining about the fact that heated seats are an option and not standard? I think they forget that not everybody lives in the snow belt. Just as a Detroit based auto writer might find a moon roof to be superfluous a Southern California customer like myself might find heated seats superfluous.

They then go on to whine about the fact that you have to fold down the rear seats via trunk controls. I agree it's not the approach of yore (and the Lienerts are admitted old time Volvo owners) but I also realize that consumer focused auto manufacturers are doing this so people can secure their valuables in the trunk with relative safety. It's nice knowing that the valet won't have access to the trunk anymore when I give them the valet key (or that a thief won't easily smash the glass and access the trunk from the rear of the car). I don't think the Lienert's quite get it when it comes to the S60. That's not to say they're wrong - just not quite on target (the question of course is would the average consumer make the same mistakes?)

There are plenty of real things to like and dislike about the S60 but I don't find this particular article of much use for me personally. To each their own - it's just my opinion.

Thanks.
