2000 s80 brake lights

my brake lights , all of them, donot work. i replaced the brake bulbs in the tails, and they worked for a few uses, but then stoppe dworking again. i inspected the newly installed bulbs, and they dont look burnt...yet they dont work. is this somehow related to my non-working low beams?

i hate this car, and will definitely be my last fwd volvo.
