I have the same problem with my 2001 XC70 and I have a solution. Gently, but firmly hit the position light with an open hand. The light will go back on and he warning light will go away. The only downside to this process is that the next bump you hit on the road will jar the bulb free and the warning light will come back on. I think the bulbs are not seated properly.
