Tires: H Rated vs V Rated: Part II (850 T5 Owners) 850 1997

Hi,

Thank you again for all of you who shared your thoughts on tire selection and H rated vs. V rated, etc...

I sent an email to Volvo Cars USA, asking them about what tires originally came on my car, and they said "We can only recommend the original equipment that came with the vehicle at the time of manufacturing. The original tires that came with the 1997 850 T5 were 205/50 16" ZR All Season Michelin. (Z rated)We did not test H or V rated tires for that vehicle so we can't recommend that for your vehicle."

I then questioned them why the sticker (located on the inside of the fuel filler door) on my car shows 205/55/16, but they couldn't really answer that. They suggested maybe the fuel filler door was replaced from an another car.

If you look on Tirerack.com, they show two options, 205/55/16, and 205/50/16. But America's Tire Company only shows the 205/50/16 as an option.

So, this makes me want to ask all of you 850 T5 owners....what tire size does the sticker on your car show?

Thank you,

Michael
