There used to be a shift lock override button on earlier models. Yours doesn't have an obvious one. Call the dealer service and ask about it, but don't tell them that you took off the electrical portion of the ignition switch which has nothing to do with your problem.
You have the "key won't turn" problem. Without breaking the key off in the cylinder, keep trying with a good bit of force to get the key to pos II. Because you have the ignition part off, can you get to the rear of the lock and turn the cylinder(with the key in, of course) with a pair of good pliers?
