There is no code for an engine vacuum leak, rather you probably have a code for the EVAC system, which involves the charcoal cannister. That will need to be found and addressed - I suggest start looking at the rear of the car where the fuel filter is located.

As to the irratic idle, you probably are running too rich. This can be caused by a real vacuum line leak around the intake manifold. New plugs could make a real difference for a while.
