On my new-to-me V70 T5M, I've noticed the turbo completely cuts out at 6k rpm. Is that how the car is designed? What's the point of showing up to 8k rpm on the gauge if the cut is at 6? Also, the engine does not cut at 6k, only the turbo. I haven't gone much past to see the true redline, because there isn't much point when there isn't any boost.
I'm mostly just curious if that is how the car is supposed to work (I assume it is). I don't spend all day redlining the thing, but just noticed this situation and was curious.
thanks for any thoughts!
Nate
