...I find that when I shift gears manually, I get better mileage, too.

Also the car doesn't stall. :D

I bought a BMW wagon but that pre-dated the economic meltdown. Mostly because Volvo eliminated stick shifts on almost everything. They left me with no choice.

My wife and daughter -- the saner members of the household -- drive Hondas.
