Coil Packs V70-XC70

Two weeks ago my 2002 XC70 started mis-firing and found the #2 cylinder not to be firing. Change the $65 coil pack and the problem went away.... Now 2 weeks later the #4 cylinder is mis-firing, another $65 and the problem goes away...

Does anyone know what is going on here? Are these coil packs known to start failing like this? The car has 125,000 miles on it? Once they start going is it recomended to change all? $300 worth of coils!! Does the signal to the coil pack come from the ECM? Could something be wrong with the signal?
