S70 T5 Radiator Replacement S70

Hello All,

1998 S70 T5, 140K

My old radiator is out of the car. The new radiator is sitting in the garage with all fittings from the old.

There are two metal plates which run the height of the rad which came out along with the old rad and the intercooler. There are holes which line up with holes in the rad. Thing is, these plates are to be secured only after the everything has been put back into the car. And the holes are supposed to line up. Yeah, right.

Given the twisting and turning it will take to get the rad and intercooler back in, and given the shifting of the plates -- how does one proceed with this installation so that these holes all line up?

I haven't seen anything on the boards for a replacement of a 98 rad specifically -- the earlier 850's don't seem to have the plates. If you know of anything, please let me know.

Many thanks,
Dan
