I had the $1200+ estimate from dealer for new compressor on my old '95 850. (Miserable driving experience w/ the charcoal interior.) I tried the bread clip deal and it has worked 100% as new ever since -- more than a year ago! My mom's 95 850 developed same symptoms in June and led to her car shopping (not kidding). Her skepticism in the "bread clip magic" is now gone. 5 weeks have passed and it has worked flawlessly. I wonder how many compressors are out there w/ overcharged refrigerant that only needed a few bread clips...
