After my son found out that the dealers want in excess of $1000.00 for this service, he asked me if I would do it. It's an '01 S60 T5 manual transmission. I do all my own maintenance on the 240's, 740, 940's and 960, but I'm new to FWD. Is this a job that an experienced diy'er can do? What special tools do I need to acquire? Do I need to change the fluid in the manual transmission? On a RWD I would flush the brake fluid and coolant, change the plugs, change air filter, timing belt & tensioner, change serpentine belt (what about tensioner?), rotate tires. Does the fuel filter need to be changed? Is this similar to what needs to be done on the S60? Thanks for any help.
