reliability of 2001 V70 V70-XC70

I am looking at a great deal on a 2001 V70 with 90K miles, the service records indicate it was regularly maintained. I am a long time Volvo owner (240's, 740's and 940's) and I am looking for something a little newer than my current 94 940 turbo wagon. I will be moving in the months to come and don't know if my 940 can handle towing a trailer, so I am looking for something newer. I just don't know about the reliability of this year, you hear all this stuff about these later models not being as good as old. So is this car going to give me nothing but headaches or maybe another 100K with some nominal expenses in between.
Thanks a bunch this site has always given expert advice at a good price.
