A good test would be to buy a new pair on ebay for about 30.00 and take both your old ones off I think two 15mm nuts on each one and a wrench behind the bolt to keep the ball from spinning in the socket.....take them both off at the same time...ie use a couple jack stands. Put the new links on and see what happens. Take a look at the sway bar bushings while your at it. Whole job is simple and just takes about 40 minutes. You can't go wrong. Take only one off at a time and the job is a real pain because you fight the torque on the sway bar from the other side....
