ECC problems 850 1993

FYI,
I have a 93 850 sedan with the ECC or electronic climate control. Yesterday, The on and off portion of the switch started to smoke. I shut off the car, and now there is no power on the switch. The fan is on high speed and ca not be control with the switches from the ECC. I went to a local salvage yard but I had no luck finding a 850. They do have a 960 with the automatic control, and I keep wondering if these 2 are interchangeable.
