I know this will possibly sound like I haven't been reading pertinent posts here and elsewhere, but the problem is more serious actually. I have been reading quite a bit on issues of performance chips, the problem then is the fact that I'm so inept at the DIY thing that I've simply ignored doing anything that is car related for way too long, that is, until now.
The recent purchase of this 98 S70 GLT was the turning point, and already I've gotten my hands on a host of basic, simple projects like changing all the brake rotors, pads, shoes, rotor cap and rotor, O2 sensors, air filters, headliner, replaced ABS, ECU, battery, oil, oil filter, etc...etc...
At this stage I'm looking at the possibility of giving this car an extra hp or two with a performance chip. However I'm looking at doing this on the cheap side, away from the Rica and Apsolute options. Any suggestions as to which chips to consider, issues with installing, uploading, etc... which is easiest to deal with by someone at my level...
