hard to start when hot outside despite tune up S70 1998

I wonder... When my 850 had those same problems it turned out to be the fuel pressure regulator leaking. There is a vacuum line from the FPR to the intake manifold and when my FPR failed, gas leaked into the vacuum line and got sucked into the intake and when I tried to start the car (about 20 second cranks) the exhaust would push out a puff of black smoke when the engine caught. Otherwise every thing else ran fine.
