Extended 'ETM' warranty V70-XC70 1990

Received a mailing from "Volvo Settlement Administrator" indicating that due to a class action suite(Carol Trew, et al v. Volvo Cars of North America, LLC), that the warranty on the "ETM" for certain models/years has been extended to 10 yrs. or 200,000 miles from date of first use. This goes for original/present owners. Well I'll be.

Is anyone else aware of this?

This involves a computer upgrade. Could this be the same upgrade that I got a few months ago, that has me smoking/low milage?
