Klaus, I took your advice and discontinue my search for an S80 and found a 2000 S70 5 cylinder at the local Volvo dealer. 111,000 miles for $9000, however it had been serviced locally at the Volvo dealer for the life of the car. Has a vibration when you push the excelorator, does the S70 have a transmission mount? If so that may be my problem. Other than that the car runs great.

BTW I kept my 89 760 turbo wagon vs trading in. Just couldn't part with it.
