Guys
The car: 1995 850 GLT sedan 120,048 kms.
The problem: Have just had the car back from service (generic, non-Volvo) for a new timing belt, as per the recommended service interval in the manual.
I have a problem. Both the tripmeter and odometer are now not working. But the speedometer is working OK. A day after I collected the car I reset the tripmeter to 000-0 and that is where it has stayed. The odometer is fixed on 120,048. Both were working when I picked it up from the mechanic, so I probably do not have a come-back there.
Any suggestions?
I have seen the other question on this site which talks about the plastic cogs inside the tripmeter/odometer wearing out. But in this case it just seems to be a strange coincidence with the timing belt replacement.
Is there something in the engine bay that the mechanic might have disconneted to cause this?
Apart for that - running great.
Thanks
CH
