ETM - Software Update S80

Same thing happened to me. 99 S80 running flawlessly, 155 update along with 120K service, then exact symptoms you described. Dealer put in new ETM- didn't change a thing. Now they're suggesting MAF. That doesn't sound right to me as it only acts up under exact circumstances you have mentioned. Another funny thing- if you let car idle a minute or two it drives fine, confirming "cold" start symptoms. I just can't believe it's the MAF. It started this the next morning after the upgrade and does it every single "cold" start since. I don't know what to do- they laughed when I said to take the upgrade out. Tex
