My wife has commented that the air temperature on our climate control system seems to be odd - the system intermittently blows cold air when it should be warming the car.
A little experimentation today seems to indicate that, once the inside temperature sensor is satisfied, the airflow switches to pure outside air, rather than blending warmed and outside air, with the effect being that cold air blows out the vents. We're headed up to Yosemite this weekend, with predictions of 22 degree weather, so she's concerned.
I vacuumed the sensor covers today, but this didn't have any noticeable effect. The manual says "take it to the dealer" (not for the first time, I find myself wishing I had a 1995, so I'd have OBDI blinky diagnostics available). Any suggestions?
