850 Fault Codes - Responding To Your Comments/Questions 850 1995

Thanks guys, you are helping to shed light on my situation for sure. First to respond to PIN, so far I'm not getting the 412 error code however my transmission definitely feels "off" it doesn't seem to have gotten worse over the past several months which is why I haven't been going too crazy.

Klaus, thanks I knew you'd know about those other sockets. I had a feeling they were there for a reason too, but I thought perhaps they had to do with things beyond my grasp (which is most everything mechanically automotive). I'm not sure if I was testing A2 or B2, but today I can go through all of them again and see what codes come up. I'll have my mechanic check those things out you suggested ASAP.

KSG, yeah I have a similar situation with mine. Some days it shifts better, also I notice it clunks into gear if I lift off the accelerator "too soon". Hard to explain but it seems like it needs gas up to a certain speed in the gear before I can lift off, otherwise it clunks into gear. And yes I did replace the PNP switch last year sometime. It fixed the 1st gear winding out problem when it's cold early in the morning, it also turned my backup/reverse lights on again. It did not however fix this funny shifting issue, and I'm trying to get that nailed down this time.

I've got an appointment with the mechanic to check out the Vacuum hoses on Friday. After getting that EGR code, I'm not sure if I need the vacuum control, or the valve itself, or if there is simply a leak in the system.
