Driver Side Power Window V70-XC70

Mine does the same thing on occasion. Spraying silicone in the window channel usually helps. I guess whatever senses the windows vertical location has worn. It would seem that over time, the window channel would loosen, rather than tighten, or maybe it's the switch? Anyone know how this thing works?
