I wouldn't replace it unless there were error codes on the computer. First check for vacuum leaks at the elbows, the most common problem. Then, switch gas station brands, some have lower sulphur than others. Here in MN, I only use Holiday stations because Koch (the refiner) went to low sulphur about 8 years ago. Much nicer for my cat converter!
Check IPDs web site, the tool to get the O2 sensor off can be a pain if it isn't the right one. Also, depending on the year, you may have to buy an additional wiring harness to connect it properly.
