The original problem you took the car in for is not fixed. If this guy has been working on your car for 2 years and he's honest, you should be able to talk it over and come to some type of agreement. I'm sure he feels just as bad that things ended up this way. At least I'm hoping that this is the case. If he's not willing to work with you on this, then make it clear to him (after everything is done and right) that he's lost your business and you'll be going somewhere else for now on.
