I've had this problem for over a year with my 94 T5 wagon, and I've seen too many similar posts on various sites regarding the 94. After trying a variety of fixes - (including fuel filter, cleaning the throttle body & flame trap, cleaning the injectors, checking the voltage at the fuel pump relay, scanning, cursing and swearing) I found the solution.
The gas cap. For some strange reason unique to the 94's the cap either doesn't vent or properly seal. The stalling or dying happens typically when temperatures start to warm up. I found that by just tightening the cap to the snug position I have almost eliminated the stalling. If it happens again, I'll buy a new cap. My guess is that air mass or negative pressure in the tank creates a back-flow of fuel away from the injectors causing a gap in fuel supply.
I hope the solution to your problem is as simple.
