The general rule of thumb is to change the coolant and to flush the brake system once every two years. That's what I've been doing.

I say use the factory coolant in a 50/50 mix with distilled water. No problems, no worries.

You can get it at a discount if you mailorder from Tasca Volvo in Seekonk, MA.
Tell them you are out of state for the discount.
