Brake dust! This ain't Uncle Olaf's Volvo anymore!
But if you're in the rustbelt (like me) and the rusty calipers are starting to seize, you go from lots of brake dust to even more brake dust!
(Also the automagics seem to go through brake pads at an amazing rate! With a manual, I once claimed the world record for miles on a set of turbo pads at about 70K.)
