headlight out again 850 1996

anyone canm change headlight bulbs...small hands being an advantage!

to see which is the low beam...go out at dusk, start hte car, turn the lights on, pop the bonnet and just match up with the other (working side) ...its pretty obvious...then put a postit/dab of paint whatever on the back cover to mark which one you want...shut everything down and go back out in the mornign to do the job...

the idea of practicing with the old bulb at putting it back in is a good one because you DONT want to touch the glass bit of the new bulb...it can ruin your reflectors as the acids from your sweat evaporate off the bulb...

also look at changing BOTH low beams, if ones gone the other probably isnt far behind! As other have said fit OSram or Philips high outp ut bulbs (normally marked as 55watts BUT 50% brighter)...dont go higher on the watts as this can overload the wriring...which is designed for 55 watts (can someone from the US verify your bulbs are 55 watts like in the UK - where I am)

seriously this is a very DIY fix!
