Headliner Falling on Your Head ? Sunroof Repair Q&A

Hi Bill,
Welcome back! I may end up needing your service but at least I'm okay for now. Problem is that you are so far away (I'm in Tenn), so unless you can send the material and instructions, my needing your services are probably moot if future problems occur.

Anyway, one night this past week I parked my car outside of the garage (something I never do) and during the night it rained. When I got in my car to go to work the next morning the head liner was dripping wet on the right upper corner of the driver's side. Actually it was wet almost to the center area of the windshield as well as almost all the way past the driver's side window. This was the firt time this had ever happened. My biggest concern was water dripping into the relay box under the driver's side steering wheel. Long story short, I checked the sunroof but I really didn't have time to do this and needed to get to work. As the car warmed up there was a lot of condensation and fogging of the windows which I battled all the way to work. By the time I got to work the rain stopped and the sun came out. During one of my breaks I took a straightened coat hanger and went out to the car and made sure the front/left drain hole in the sunroom was cleaned out by pushing the coat hanger down into the drain hole as far as it would go (didn't realize it goes down very far and there are no real bends in this drain system). I made sure my sunroof was closed good and decided that I really wouldn't know anything until it rained again.

So far so good. I know while driving that the water will exit the rear drain holes so I made sure to park my car outside again and it rained last night. No leaking. So, I'm thinking, either the drain hole in question was backed up and I was able to clean it out or my sunroof was not shut good to begin with. As long as it never leaks again I should be fine but too many leaks and I know I'll have to deal with a headliner that will fall down, not to mention a problem with the sunroof.

If you can give me any comments to my issue I would appreciate it.
