Squeeking Noise from the serp Belt area. Maybe PCV?? S80 2000

Have a 2000 S80 T6. Started hearing a squeeking noise from the serp belt are yesterday. Was nearby the dealer today so I drove by to have it looked at. By just listening to it the mechanic felt that it was the PCV that needed to be replaced. He did not have time to dig in any deeper. Need to make apt for that. Mechanic said PCV replacement is a 4-5hr job. Does this sound like it chould be the problem. Is this something I can do myself? I have done minor repairs suspension, turbo seals, and breaks.
