Once the code is deleted, I don't believe it can be discovered later.

Your bearings woulod have to be totally shot to put enough strain on the differentials and tranny, and at that point your car would probably grind to a halt. 2000 rpm is corrrect for 60mph.
Flush your tranny, it probably needs it anyway. If the bearings are shot, fix them real soon.
