Problem Fixed - Speaker replacement 850 1995

What I love most about my Volvo is the many fixes that are low dollar or FREE!

The speakers were all crapping out in the back. 8 speaker premium sound system. Don't bother checking dealer prices because their price on back deck speakers was over $400! Each!
I was going to go aftermarket but none fit in the existing brackets and they are all 4 ohm compared to the OEM which are 8 ohm in back 4 speakers. The 4 ohm will overwork your stereo deck and they didn't sound good compared to the originals - bass was lacking! Look in online auctions for low mileage pairs of these OEM speakers if you want to save big money and keep the decent stock sound. If you want to spend a lot on it, then add a big subwoofer and change it all out including the stereo unit. The fronts I changed 2 years ago with Eclipses - 4 ohm is fine in front 4 speakers - same as OEM front.
