Time to start looking for a newer Volvo. What to be aware of in 01& newer?

Hi,
My wife has been driving her 95 850T wagon for 5 years now & lately, she`s been talking of getting a newer wagon in the next several months. Time to do some research!
The `95 has been a great car & runs fine. It`s a daily commuter so lots of mileage. We are aware of the standard "stuff" that goes wrong on those mid-90`s Volvo`s. What should we be aware of in the 01 & up Volvo`s. Have those problem areas of the earlier 850`s been resolved in the V70`s?
We are a long time Volvo family so little likelihood that we will switch to Toyota/ Honda. 35 years of Volvo`s; the kids drive Volvo`s even got my sister driving a Volvo now, something I never thought I`d see.
Thanks,
Rich
