throwout bearing 850 1997

i have a n/a 850 with manual trans. when the clutch is NOT engaged, i hear a light chirping sort of sound. when i press the clutch pedal down, the sound goes away. an independent shop said that it was the throwout bearing, and others have concurred. i was wondering if there is any remedy to this besides taking apart the engine and transmission (essentially having to do a whole clutch job)? thanks in advance.
