Replacing outer CV joint boot 850 1995

I'm about to replace my front driver side outside CV boot. The Hayes manual indicates that pre-'95 cars have a staked 20mm bolt for the drive axle and post-'95 have a 22mm self locking bolt. Well, these must be typos because I have a 36mm staked bolt on mine. I have effectively destroyed a screwdriver and awl trying to "unstake" the bolt. Any suggestions on how to get this badboy off? See pic I included to clarigy any questions.
