Transmission Problems?? 850

It could be a few things. There's an idle air control valve that actually controls your idle rpm speeds. Its mounted right in front of the throttle body. You can clean it out with some Berryman's Chemtool spray (Walmart). Also clean out the throttle body while you're down there. If you DO pull out some trouble codes from the A1 socket that would give you some clues if it is the tranny, but it sounds more like just a motor problem. Check for any vacuum leaks too. A vacuum leak will play havoc on rpm control.
