oil leak V70-XC70 1999

I have a '99 XC and do my own maintenance. For some reason when changing the oil I'm getting a leak from the gasket on the oil filter cup. When the car is turned on, I can actually see the gasket pucker out in different places and the oil slowly leaks down the cup. Any ideas how to remedy this. I lube up the new gasket with oil or grease and it puckers out; I leave the gasket dry without any lubrication and the gasket still puckers out and drips oil. It hasn't always done this, either. The first few oil changes were fine -- no leaks with 10w30; Then I switched to 5wXX -- do you think the 5w could be the reason for the leak? Any help is greatly appreciated -- this is giving me an ulcer!!

Many thanks.
