Cool;ant odour in the car 850

I just had the same problem with my 1996 850R...with only 113000kms and being in Sydney Australia I also relised that the Aircondioning was sick too.
Unfortunately its a dash out job, best left to the pros.
Once the dash was out the mechanic, a Volvo Specialist, also found the AC evaporator was leaking too...so I replaced the heater core and the AC evaporator. Very costly surprise......but loving the car as musch as I am think its well worth it. Im also told that the new replacement heater cores and AC evaporators dont suffer the same problems later.
So it not good news....but if you think youre capable of pulling it to bits give it a shot.

Cheers
