ETS signal coming on S70 1999

Reference my post a few weeks ago.

ETS light came on then, and only once since then. But this time light was accompanied by the characteristic oscilating RPM and computer switch to limp-home mode (really moved slow). Check engine light came on soon after. Turned off engine for a few minutes. Upon restart, could go normal speed by keeping RPMs up by reving it at stops (in neutral - auto trans) and going fast between stops. Went right to the dealer as they knew of my impending ETM failure from several weeks ago. They matched FCP Groton's $485 price, gave me internal shop rate, and with taxes was about $780 total.

Runs very well now. Smoother than in some time, rock steady idle, and seems to have better power. My fuel economy is running about 1-2 mpg better also.

They told me the new unit has been upgraded over the unit that failed, and should last about twice as long as the original. But also said it would fail eventually. Well, I got 102,000 miles on the first one.
