Replacing rear shocks on 1999 V70...Help V70-XC70

I'm replacing the rear shocks on my 1999 V70. This body style/mechanics is/are very similar to 850's going back to 1993. I looked on volvospeed.com for tips. There are detailed pictures to access to top shock mounts for the sedan. But for the wagon it just says: "On station wagons, the floor panel must be removed. This is accomplished by removing the two bolts on each side and folding it back to release it from its mounting point."

I have removed to two bolts, but can't get the thing to move much. When they say "fold it back", do I actually fold it toward the front of the car, or do I change positions after removing the bolts and literally fold it tward the back to the car? I've tried each so far without a lot of luck. I don't want to break anything. Ideas? Experience? Tips?
