ECT sensor location (engine coolant temperature) 850 1997

I am looking for the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor in the 1997 855 T AWD. The manual says it’s on left front of the engine and has wires yellow/grey and brown/black. I have not been able to locate it and can use some assistance.

Can you please describe (with some greater detail) where one finds this thing?

Is it in the lower block, or upper side, or..? What kind of connector should I be looking for? I am assuming that the left front of the engine is at the driver’s side close to the radiator; in essence, near the battery. Is that correct?

All help is appreciated.

Ofer
