18' Lug Nuts and other things... XC90 2004

Just took delivery of my XC 90. Wondering about the lug nuts on the 18" tires. Seems kind of weird that on a nice alloy rim I would have plain lugs with some sort of whiteish coating. Is that what others have experienced?

What is up with that luggage cover? Talk about a pain to get in and out of the vehicle, and what do you do with it when you want to use the third row?

Oil dipstick is in a tight spot. Burned my hand squeazing it between the upper hose and the metal frame around the radiator to get to it. Anyone else experience that or find a fix? Just odd to have a design flaw in something that should be regularly accessed in the engine compartment.

Other than that, what a great vehicle! You can just tell that it is put togehter solid. Plastic moldings seem sturdy. I am very hopeful that this car will be a solid mode of family transportation for many years to come.

Thanks
