transmission not kicking down or changing gears during kick down 850 1995

Since you don't have a flashing arrow indicating a transmission code, it is not likely to be a sensor or switch. Check A1 for possible codes that your car has not alerted you to. Also, check your transmission fluid level and condition. Is it low? Is it dirty? Is it thin? I'd be opting for a fluid problem of some sort.

However, a turbo that is failing/locking up will "feel" like a transmission problem. When your car is cool, take the hose off of the turbo, and see if it spins freely by hand. Let us know,

Chris
